Learn how to Bhangra with Penn Masti, make dim sum with a famous chef and engage in thought-provoking discussions about politics and the Asian American community at our workshops and discussion panels

Sunday, 11/4 – An Evening with Kal Penn
Irvine Auditorium, 7PM
[ INSPIRE ]
 In collaboration with the South Asia Society, APAHW brings you Kal Penn, the famous South Asian actor and co-campaign manager for President Obama. $8 for Penn students, $10 for non Penn students. Buy tickets at www.kalpennatpenn.com.

Kick off the week with free performances from Penn groups, including the talents of Pan Asian, PennYo, Atma and more! Free food will be served.

Eat and play carnival games hosted by APSC’s many constituent groups at APAHW’s annual festival! Free food will be served.

Wednesday, 11/7 – Letters to Ourselves: Asian American Studies Dinner

 Listen to ASAM professors share their personal experiences growing up in Asian America and their vision for its future over a catered dinner.

Thursday, 11/8 – APA: Hit Play

[ LISTEN ] 
Come enjoy performances by Jason Chen, a popular Asian American Youtube sensation, and  Shanghai Restoration Project, a contemporary electronic music group that combines traditional Chinese instruments and hip hop music.

Friday, 11/9 – Big Asian on Campus

[ CHEER ] 
Come support Penn’s most talented students as they strut, sing, dance, and rap for the esteemed title Big Asian on Campus.

Saturday, 11/10 – Strides of Pride 5K Run
The Compass, 12PM
[ GIVE ] Join APAHW and Pan-Asian Initiative for the 5K Charity Run! Sign up on Locust walk: $10 registration fee. All proceeds benefit Hepatitis B Free Philadelphia Foundation.

Saturday, 11/10 – Charity Gala
Inn at Penn, 7PM
[ SUIT UP ]
